Beautiful location in the nature, very caring staff, everything was excellent. Got abundant and outstanding breakfasts and overall had a JUST PERFECT stay overall for a visit and stay. Location: the hotel was just next door to a farther train station, Kagoiwa Onsen, and the river which had a pretty view. Apart from that, Togawa Bridge was 15 minutes' drive away.

the ryokan was nestled in nature by a beautiful river, creating a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were extremely attentive and kind, going above and beyond to accommodate us. They even offered our daughter gifts and snacks, and one staff member even insisted on driving us to the nearest city. The onsen water was lovely, and it was great that the ryokan was tattoo-friendly. it was a value-for-money option, easily accessible from Tokyo.
The location of the hotel was quite remote, which made it difficult to find activities in the surrounding area without a car. Additionally, the facilities seemed a bit dated, especially in the common areas.

*****Best Aspects*****. The meals were absolutely amazing, some of the best Japanese food I've ever tasted. The staff were so friendly and patient, explaining every course and even helping me with chopstick skills. The onsen experience was top-notch, with both indoor and outdoor pools to relax in. Plus, the owners provided shuttle car service to and from the nearby train station for added convenience during my stay.
The location wasn't ideal for sightseeing as it was a bit further away from the tourist spots. However, if you're looking for a peaceful getaway away from busy cities, this could be a good thing.
